TRIP SUMMARY
Inclusions: Accommodation, meals, daily activities, reedbuck hunting, licenses, rifle, charter, scenic helicopter flight, community/conservation levy and VAT.
Exclusions: International flights into/out of Beira.
Day 1: Arrival and Introduction
- Arrive in Beira on the Airline flight from Johannesburg.
- Helicopter transfer to Mungari Camp in the Zambeze Delta
-Afternoon and evening discussion on sustainable utilization, conservation, and the benefits of hunting.
Day 2: Explore the Wilderness
- Morning low-level scenic helicopter flight to grasp the vastness of the area.
-Introduction to the history and significance of the hunting block.
-Afternoon rifle familiarization session and discussion on suitable rifles for Africa and safari hunting.
Day 3: Hunt and Harvest Reedbuck
-Pair up for a reedbuck hunting experience with guidance from Professional Hunters.
-Opportunity to participate in skinning your harvested animal.
Day 4: Conservation Science Day
-Track lion and cheetah with the scientific team, learning about the role of science in ecosystem management.
-Evening tracking of pangolin, with insights into successful rehabilitation program.
-Campfire discussion on the positive impacts of managing wildlife with science.
Day 5: Meat Processing and Community Projects
-Learn meat processing techniques from an experienced Blockman.
-Evening discussion on community involvement for long-term conservation.
Day 6: Culinary Experience
-Prepare meals from the harvested animals with Chef Barbara and Chef Jimmy.
-Festive night with each course paired with the correct wines.
Day 7: Hands-on Collaring Experience
-Participate in the sedation of a lion or cheetah for scientific purposes.
-Discuss the successful reintroduction of wild lions.
Day 8: Reflection and Departure
-Morning reflection and general chat.
-Mid-morning charter back to Beira for international flight home.
